I love to climb and this weekend me and some friends went to Moores wall outside of Winston Salem. Bright sun and just warm enough– couldn’t ask for a better day. There’s a lot of freedom for me in climbing. Just somethin about being up there on a face where you can look down and see the birds flying above the tree tops. When I calm my mind and look around (cause I often get tense when 100 plus feet off the ground), I get a sense of peace and tranquility that is often blurred beacause of schedules to keep and work to do. Rocks are just a reminder to me that Jesus is my peace and rest in the midst of a broken and screwed up world. My ultimate peace isn’t found in an experience that I have to keep going back to but a person who I am united to and walk in communion with daily.
